The above web site lists over 100 ideas, covering options at home, the workplace, your place of worship, in the community ... 2. Support an organization that serves children ... It could be your local community education department or schools, YMCA, Boy or Girl Scouts, faith community, park and recreation dept, or any of the other organizations that serve kids at the local, state, national and international levels. Your support might be as a volunteer in one of their programs with kids, help them raise funds, or your own financial donation. They're all non-profits, and in today's economy they need your support! 3. Tell your policy makers to support initiatives that are good for kids ... This means your school board, city council, county commissioners, state legislators and your US Senators & Representative; summer is generally a more relaxed time to communicate with them. And - share your story about "Making a Difference to Children" to other people you know ... |
